Odi-Olowo Chairman's Cup Season 6 Set for Grand Kick-Off as 50 Teams Await Official Draw



The stage is set for another exciting chapter in grassroots football as the highly anticipated Odi-Olowo Chairman's Cup Season 6 (O.C.C 0.6) officially gets underway with its Official Draw Ceremony and Press Conference on Friday, July 24, 2026.

The event will take place at the Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA Council Premises, with proceedings scheduled to commence at exactly 2:00 PM, bringing together participating clubs, football stakeholders, coaches, players, sponsors, and members of the media.

The official draw will determine the group pairings and fixtures for what promises to be the biggest edition of the competition. This year's tournament features 50 teams, over 800 players, more than 100 coaches, approximately 120 matches, and three months of thrilling football, with five champions expected to emerge at the end of the competition.

Ahead of the ceremony, the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) has announced that each participating club must be represented by one coach and one player. Teams have also been encouraged to arrive early to ensure a smooth and orderly commencement of the event.

The organizers emphasized that the draw ceremony marks the official beginning of the competition, setting the stage for weeks of intense football action, fierce rivalries, and the discovery of new grassroots talents.

Over the years, the Owo Chairman's Cup has established itself as one of Lagos State's premier grassroots football tournaments, creating opportunities for young players to showcase their abilities while attracting scouts, coaches, and football enthusiasts from across the country.
