What Football Must Learn
These players didn’t die from age, retirement, or injuries. They died chasing the ball, fulfilling dreams, and entertaining millions. These tragedies teach us that the game we love must become safer.
Mandatory heart screening for all players, every season.
Defibrillators and trained medics at every pitch, not just top leagues.
Safe infrastructure – no exposed walls or outdated safety standards.
Mental health & post-match recovery programs for all levels.
In Loving Memory
From Lagos to Lisbon, Soweto to Sevilla, these footballers made us cheer, cry, and believe. Though they never played their final match, they are forever part of the game.
To Jota, Reyes, Puerta, Foé, Okwaraji, Morosini, and all others: The world still chants your name.
