Nigerian Legend Segun Odegbami Meets with Wasinmi Summer Soccer Championship Committee Ahead of 2025 Grassroots Football Fiesta

The build-up to the Wasinmi Summer Soccer Championship 2025 (WSSC) gained strong momentum on Friday, 27th June 2025, as Nigerian football legend, Chief Segun Odegbami, hosted a strategic planning meeting with the Central Planning Committee (CPC) of the tournament. The session, held in Wasinmi Abeokuta, brought together key community leaders, sports professionals, and media representatives who are instrumental in shaping the tournament’s future.

The meeting focused on finalizing plans for this year's championship and aligning all stakeholders toward one common goal: delivering a memorable and transformative grassroots football experience in Wasinmi.

Mr. Victor Agbagu, presented the media strategy, which includes live match streaming, daily highlights, live score updates, interviews, and full coverage on local and online platforms. This year’s edition aims to amplify the visibility of grassroots players for scouts and clubs.

Community leaders like Chief Sunday Toriola and Chief (Hon.) Dipo Odegbami assured full community support. There was also a strong push to involve parents, local businesses, and educational stakeholders in the championship.
