ARUNA MAKE ANOTHER AFRICA RECORD

It was a Marathon 4-3 victory for Nigeria Aruna Quadri in the round 16 of World Table Tennis Championship in Houston, Texas.

The 13th seed sees off Sweden’s Kristian Karlsson in the round of 16 to book a quarterfinals spot at the World Championships.

The Number one Africa ranked players becomes the first African to ever reach the stage at the world Table Tennis Championship.


 
Aruna achieved this by defeating Kristian Kalson in a seven games thriller 4-3 (11-9, 5-11, 13-11, 5-11, 6-11, 11-8, 11-6) to clinch a quarter-finals spot.
